Acceptable behavior is encouraged through positive verbalizations. We encourage children to verbalize with one another to resolve disputes and we will redirect and model expected behaviors. If necessary, children will be removed from the group for a time out period. This is a time where the child may calm down and remember what behavior we are asking for. If the behavior cannot be corrected by time outs, the child will be escorted to the office and the parents will be contacted.  No child will be subjected to corporal punishment or verbal abuse.
